Tom, Navistar just doesn't understand the important of service in the RV business. They demonstrated this with the Workhorse brake fiasco and by walking from a million or so of potential warranty work on 'orphaned' coaches just because they could. When I talked to several people at Navistar about the warranty issue their response was that it was legal, when I told them it was a false saving and would hurt them in the marketplace they just didn't get.

Monaco sales remain low even today while Tiffin's are high. Note that the upcoming Monaco rally (which we are going to) they will have service at the reduced rate of $50.00 per hour for two items. But I am glad they reopened the tech line which remains free. I wasn't really sure how independent Monaco is nowadays. Navistar claims to be a holding company, with Monaco RV as one of it's brands. Kay Toolson, former Chairman of Monaco Coach, is President of Monaco RV, but I don't know what constraints he's working under.

I suspect that Navistar is keep a tight rein on the purse strings. Good news re the tech support phone support. Monaco can't even get their promotions straight, Their website, using your url, highlights two reviews of the Safari Simba Toyhauler built on a Freightliner chassis. Only problem is that the 'new' Monaco has never built this product, or any Safari, as they choose to 'mothball' the brand.

Why highlight something built only by the 'old' bankrupt company. I must admit Kay's continual hype about how 'we stand behind our product' kind of gets to me as the owner pf a product that he, as President of Monaco, choose to walk away from.

Over the past decade changes have taken place with the manufacture changing multiple times, product lines have evolved or been discontinued and so must our club evolve as well. Effective June 5, 2018 our club membership has expanded to include any RV make be it a towable unit or Motor home by any manufacturer.
